One of the more dramatic and beautiful church settings in Italy, The church of Our Lady of The Snow & Olive trees is perched on top of a mountain next to Maratea's statue of the Cristo overlooking the sea, the stunning serpentine coast of Maratea (one of the most dramatic in Europe), and two National Parks. In the photo below you can the Pollino National Park with 9000 feet plus peaks and some of Italy's last wolf packs. Off to the left is the Cilento National Park and it's beautiful coast mountains and some of the finest beaches in Italy.
