The ancinet city Alba is part of the enchanting Langhe area, the historic Piedmont region straddling the provinces of Asti and Cuneo included in 2014 together with Roero and Monferrato on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Alba is a city in Piedmont known for its white truffle. The Duomo, rebuilt in Gothic style, has a bell tower from which to admire city views.
Not far away is the Church of San Giovanni Battista which has been home to works of art since the 14th century. The Federico Eusebio Museum presents artifacts from Prehistory to Roman times, as well as a section dedicated to natural history.
