The Hideaway Honeymoon Cottage
Villa Features
Villa Maratea occupies one of the most
enviable locations in Italy. It sits just above the fairy
tale town of Maratea with its ancient red-tiled roofs, small piazzas,
and 44 churches, overlooking a clear blue Mediterranean sea,
and surrounded on three sides by the soaring Maratea mountains. The
villa appeals to sea and boat lovers, mountain lovers, those that
just want to cool, or those who just want to shop or enjoy the
pleasures of one of Italy's last unspoiled hill-towns, Maratea.
Above all, it appeals to those
discriminating brides & grooms looking for the perfect wedding spot and
accommodations for themselves and the close friend and familes; and, yet
offers the opportunity for the perfect wedding ceremony and reception up
to 60 guests. The villa in total sleeps up to 18 people.
The villa has numerous patios and lawns
all perfect to host both ceremonies and receptions. Some of
the patios are covered providing the ideal back-up plan if it rains.
It has a wonderful pool, exercise patio, pool patio and table tennis. Unlike most Italian villas the level of
furnishings and appointments is high.
Perhaps the highlight of the villa
is its hidden cottage at the far side of the grounds, simply ideal
for a bridal and/or honeymoon suite. In addition to the villa and
cottage there is a spacious independent studio appartment.
