What Do The Irish Want for Their Wedding in
Italy?
It's not easy to
answer this as every couple has a unique set of wants -
however, based on doing many Irish weddings
(and one of us having 70 Irish cousins) here are a basic set of
demands we have encountered the most often:
Idyllic Romantic

mayors and ministers will perform outdoor ceremonies at any of
our venues.

Stunning Location
Ireland is an extremely
beautiful country. The wedding destination must be at
least as nice, or, why bother with a destination wedding.
Our region is the
Coast of Maratea and the Cilento
- it is stunning - it is easily the most beautiful
and unspoiled area in Italy. It is located just south of
the Amalfi coast. Although the Amalfi has been greatly
ruined by uncontrolled tourism, this area has been
protected by the Italian government. Their goal for the
region is to maintain "authentic Italian life", whereas the goal
of most of Italy is to cram in as many tourists as possible.
We like to describe this area as the west coast of Ireland with
sunshine, and great food and wine.
Beautiful and Historic Churches -
Catholic and NON-Catholic
Every venue has at least
one beautiful and historic church nearby - see our

In addition, the clergy in this region (but not all of
them) are very flexible. In fact, the local bishop has
authorized us to use one of his churches for non-Catholic
weddings. We have native English speaking ministers
that will hold ceremonies in these churches and also outdoors at
the venue of your choice.
"Wee Hour" Receptions with Loud Music
We have many venues that
allow loud music until at least 2 am. In contrast, many
regions of Italy have so much tourism that they now have many
regulations trying to minimize the impact of tourists. So
they have strict limits, e.g., duration of receptions (mid-night); they
also often limit the type of music to classical music.
Value for Money
Massive tourism has driven
costs in Italy extremely high, and driven value extremely low.
However, this region is one of the least expensive regions.

The area has two
international airports (Naples and Lamezia Terme) served by
Ryan Air,

(London City) and many international airlines. We
offer transfer services (car, mini-bus, coach) to all of our
wedding venues. Low cost high-speed trains
(Eurostar,
Intercity) run from
Naples, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Lamezia, Sicily, Milan, etc.

Irish weddings in Italy tend to be fairly large, so often
it is important for the couple to check out the area,
