Dictionary
The Mediterranean Diet
The Mediterranean Diet described succinctly by Keys in
1997 as "pasta in many forms, leaves sprinkled with olive oil, all kinds
of vegetables in season, and often cheese, all finished off with fruit and
frequently washed down with wine" was first defined in 1954 after a
study of the eating habits of a small Cilentean village called Rofrano.
