Starting 2016, the mayor of Maratea will perform LEGAL civil ceremonies for small weddings at the foot of Maratea's famous statue of Christ The Redeemer.  Our minister will also conduct  a non catholic religious ceremony there after the civil ceremony.

Abbadia Isola was founded in 1001 as a beneditine monstary.   The abbey  is considered part of the town-hall; as such,  legal wedding ceremonies are held there.
