Persano - a WWF Oasis

The Oasis Persano is a wetland park created by two rivers and a lake.  It is important primarily for two reasons.  First, it is one of the last homes of Italy's very rare otters.  Second,  it is a major resting place for birds as they migrate between Africa and Northern Europe.  Persano is one of the four five bird-spotting centers in all of Italy.
